What is the difference between a Re-call and a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin)?

A re-call is something that will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you no matter how old the vehicle is. This is usually concerning a safety problem during the operation of a vehicle. Sometimes it will cover EPA (emission) related concerns. A (Technical Service Bulletin) T.S.B. is a printed bulletin that a COMMON or a RE-OCCURING problem on this make or model vehicle. The T.S.B. is the accepted repair procedure to solve this common problem. This is something that if a car is out of warranty, will not be repaired for free!
